Story with vocabulary homework

Pheobe needed to do a research paper, but had no clue of what the prompt was about. She started to research using her teachers computer, and knew that she needed to have proper ETTIQUITE; she only used sites she knew were safe. She con CONDUCTED herself properly and with COURTESY when a email notice poped up by closing it and not reading it because it was her teachers. She kept getting notices from a TROLL that was ANONYMOUS, but still knew it would be UNETHICAL to write something rude back. Instead she did the ETHICAL thing  and wrote a message back with nice TONE to make sure it was OBVIOUS that she wasnt afended. Pheobe even used the proper EMOTICON, a smile so that it didnt seem rude. Later, her teacher said it was the right and LEGAL thing to do and she didn't get mad at her.

Evaluate- Each Step

Investigation-
This stage was the easiest for me because it did not require me to do anything specific. Basically it was an outline, so I didn't have to really be certain of what I was doing. however, I did run into some problems like  choosing what I was going to actually investigate or really do my project on. It didn't take long because I had an idea of telling a story, so I investigated various tools that would be able to help me with my goal.

Plan/Design-
This stage was the opposite of the first stage (Investigation) because it did require me to be specific because this was basically the plan of what I was going to do for the whole finished product. The plan at the time was to complete a storybook to tell a story of how the design was created. I saw this as a challenge because I am not usually comfortable with doing things on the computer. After starting to create this, I realized that it would be too difficult for me and wasn't able to give the image that I was trying to convey. At this time, I decided to create a newspaper to tell the story and actually teach.

Create-
When I had my plan complete, I began to make the end product. this took a couple of days, and I stressed that I would run out of time. because of this, I was forced to work at a quicker pace than I'm us to. During this time I did not question my plan to do a newspaper, so I in a way began again with the researching to make the finished newspaper.

Evaluate-
The final product was great because it met all requirements. I did feel, however, that it could have looked nicer or been more organized. There were many errors grammatically, so I fear that it will be difficult to understand. For the most part i can help my community through teaching, and also i think it was an innovative idea.

Evaluation

Questions:
Through what i've learned from this process, I can take with me throughout many years of school and even afterwords. I have always ben told what the design cycle is, but never knew how it applied to actual life. As of recent, I discovered it can be used for nearly anything and is for the most part, successful. This can help my community because I am now able to easily understand how to solve problems in my commiunity. I will continue to look at new ideas and ways to make projects. However, I will chose my final design quicker and sooner. My fnal product, I feel, is very different and unique. I enjoyed the story line of it because it told a story but also taught the design cycle in an interesting way. Because of this, I would rate myself at least a five.  In regards to my plan, I qould take it more serious because without it, you're basically lost. I would rethink my plan and take more time on it, but overall my final product was executed well and hopefully is efficient.

Questions to check understanding (Sixth Grade Quiz)

1) Name all the steps of the design cycle:

2) What did the engineer, William JR, use the design cycle for? Did it work?

3) Pick any step of the design cycle and explain what it is:

4) Which occurs first, the design specification or the design brief?

5) In the last stage (Evaluate), should you relate your project to the outside world or society?

* Do you feel as though you learned anything new about the design cycle in this lesson?
